Hob Hole to Baysdale Abbey
A circular walk that starts at Hob Hole in Baysdale / Westerdale and on the Baysdale Beck. The route goes west towards Baysdale Abbey then turns east to return through Great Hograh Moor.
Baysdale Abbey was actually a Cistercian nunnery founded in the twelfth century. A medieval ribbed bridge survives and there is now a farm on the site.
Part of Baysdale Abbey is now a holiday home - The holiday home features 8 bedrooms, a TV, an equipped kitchen, a washing machine and 5 bathrooms with a shower.
