Great Ayton Tennis Club is a small, friendly club that strives to meet the playing needs of all members from juniors to seniors and from beginners to potential tournament winners.
Across the River Leven from Low Green and within the Conservation Area of Great Ayton the Club occupies historic land known as Garth Field, also Mill Garth. The Club is surrounded by the stunning views of Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook’s Monument. The Buck pub and restaurant is only a few steps away which proves to be a great location for players and families to relax after a good hit on court and with the Low Green just opposite being a perfect place for a picnic for all.

At Great Ayton Tennis Club you can enjoy all inclusive, year round tennis on LED floodlit courts, bringing light to the six darker months from October to March and providing approximately 1000 hours of additional playing time, and “Poraflex” courts alongside benefitting from a fantastic coaching team, free lessons for new members and a wide range of social & competitive activities in scenic Great Ayton, a gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Cardio Tennis
Cardio tennis is a fantastic way to get active on the courts and have fun at the same time. If you're looking for a great, new activity that's social and burns the calories at the same time then cardio tennis could be the one for you!

Adult, Junior and Family Coaching
The Club can introduce new and existing members to friendly and qualified coaches giving you a wonderful opportunity to develop and flourish in tennis by offering 1 : 1 individual coaching for adults and juniors, or group coaching sessions for beginners to advanced players all according to your ability and requirements. Affordable prices, helping to make tennis accessible to all. Please note club membership is required for most coaching sessions. Check out the membership fees for 2024 below.
Club Membership Fees for 2024
- Adult: £110
- Family: £240 - Includes up to two adults + children
- Guardian: £20 - Only playing with named junior
- Students: £45 - In full-time education in school year 12+
- Juniors: £25- School years 3 to 11
- Infants: Free - Upto school year 2
Rates for individual special cases are at the discretion of the Treasurer/Membership Secretary. Apply through ‘Contacts page’ on website.
Membership expires on 31st December of the year it was taken out.
‘Juniors’ ages taken from the school year they are in on the 1st January of that year.
