...it was wonderful to see so many new faces - loads of fresh blood and talent!
Great Ayton Dramatic Society enjoyed a great night of auditions on Friday 23rd September, it was wonderful to see so many new faces - loads of fresh blood and talent!
The drama society welcomed five new members of various ages to the group which was very welcomed and encouraging at a time when the club have experienced a reduction in numbers. The increase will allow the group to be able to choose from a larger variety of plays with slightly larger casts than audiences have seen over recent years.
A play has been successfully cast called 'Love Begins at Fifty' written by Raymond Hopkins. It is a farcical-comedy and looks like it's going to be thoroughly enjoyable. The play is due to be performed in the Christ Church Parochial Hall from Wednesday 18th to Saturday 21st January 2017.
GADS are always on the lookout for recruiting new members whether you're interested in acting or prefer to help out behind the scenes or front of house. GADS also hold socials throughout the year from pub quizzes and craft fairs to fish and chips in Whitby!
